Visiting Germany is always a great experience, at any time of the year.
Every area has its own way to celebrate. Spring festivals, like the almond blossom festival, or summer folk festivals, like knight games in historical castel ruins attract visitors from all over the world.
There is a “Brezel” festival, a strawhat festival , even a city wall festival… German’s always find a reason to celebrate and have a good time.
Autum and winter is a great time to travel Germany, too.
There will be wine festivals in almost every little village along the Rhein river at harvest season. In September there is the biggest wine festival of the world, the Wurstmarkt!
In December you can visit a number of christmas markets in historical settings like castle gardens or old town centers. Buy souveniers, enjoy a good German Bratwurst ( sausage) and a glas of Gluehwein, a special spiced warm wine, only offered in the winter time.
